Lisa Wood holds a Masters Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. She has studied Japanese Acupuncture and French auricular Acupuncture; and worked inside the closed community of New York City's Chinatown for two years at the famous Chinese Herbal Pharmacy, Kamwo. She practices Internal Taoist Massage, Chinese Herbology, and Chinese dietary therapy. She has had great success in weight management, gynecology, diabetes, the nervous system, autoimmune disorders, and mental disorders. She strongly believes in providing caring, affordable, effective health care.
Lisa has had an affinity for alternative healing methods ever since she was child. In her teenage years she worked with Native Americans and participated in many of their rituals; these and other experiences led her to Taoism as it relates to nature. Before studying at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, she studied Taoism/Tai Chi at the Taoist Studies Institute in Seattle, Washington. She enjoys studying and bridging Western and Eastern medicines, as she believes their goals are ultimately the same, to improve the quality of life for all who are suffering.
